Want to learn More about how to edit sound for performance?
Join Double Okay x Valeria Radchenko in a series of workshops!
Valeria Radchenko is a multimedia artist and music producer, working in creative access and education. Using their background in performance and composition, Valeria will break down concepts around digital sound in the context of performance in a series of workshops, hosted by Double Okay.
Aimed at beginners/intermediates, in this workshop series we’ll explore the conceptual, technical and practical sides of making a soundtrack for a performance. There will be an introductory session online, followed by two in-person sessions in Reading, which will be more hands-on. By the end of the sessions, you will have a basic soundtrack to perform with or further develop.
Online session:
Sun 9th March, 2-4pm (recommended for beginners)
In person sessions at the Rising Sun Arts Centre, Reading:
Mon 24th March, 6-8:30pm
Mon 31st March, 6-8:30pm
Further information:
- The sessions will follow on from each other and develop on from the last. You don't need to attend all of the sessions, and can join them individually.
- For the in-person sessions, you will need to bring a computer and headphones to work on. If this is an issue, we may be able to provide something for you to work from - please email us as soon as possible at doubleokaygroup@gmail.com if this is the case.
- These workshops are a queer centred space, where allies are welcome. If you are an ally and financially able, please consider donating to support our work in the future.
- All sessions are free, booking is mandatory. Please show your ticket on arrival.
- We'd love to see you if you're Reading based 😊 People living outside of Reading are also welcome and encouraged to join the workshops, particularly the online session.
- The online session will be recorded, so that you can refer back to it afterwards.
