“Still Here! Still Queer! Now What?” Redefines Mid-Life for LGBTQ+ Communities.
Join us at The Common Press for the PRE-COMING OUT PARTY of the debut book by author Dr Paul Taylor-Pitt as together we challenge LGBTQ+ ageing narratives & ignite a movement!
For too long, we’ve been told that queer life is all about youth - that once we hit 40, 50, or beyond, we fade into the background. That’s a lie. Still Here! Still Queer! Now What? is a movement to reclaim our power, our joy, and our wholeness.
Still Here! Still Queer! Now What? is for LGBTQ+ people in mid-life who refuse to fade into the background. It’s a mix of memoir, manifesto, and practical guide— helping us break the silence around queer aging and build the vibrant, unapologetic lives we deserve. Because mid-life isn’t an ending. It’s a new beginning. A second coming out.
It’s a book for people who are wondering, ‘What’s next?’ It’s about breaking the myth that queer life is all about youth and showing how we can thrive at every stage of life. The book is a love letter to LGBTQ+ resilience and a call to action for us to build the futures we deserve.
Dr Paul Taylor-Pitt will be joined in-conversation by guest speakers as they explore queering the path to publishing & the art of self-acceptance plus you’ll have an opportunity to ask your questions too. We hope you’ll join for us a fantastic evening as we redefine & celebrate Mid-Life Queerness!
