Pause. And Rewind… is the podcast that chats to change makers, thought leaders & role models who all share a common goal. They’re striving to make the world a more inclusive place. And let’s face, we need it!
Each guest has a unique story when it comes to doing their thing & we often know who people are ‘in the now’. But how much do we really know about them?
Pause. And Rewind… is about taking a moment to explore & appreciate how different experiences, realisations and relationships in people’s lives led them to where & who they are now. It dives into tales, anecdotes and some of what makes each guest tick. Cos’ everyone loves an origin story!
Join us for a live recording at The Common Press!
Host Neil Hudson-Basing (he/him) will be joined by the incredible Char Bailey (she/her) for a deep dive into Char’s origin story & how this has informed how she shows up in the world today.
Whether it’s through her NLP coaching, EDI work or hosting gigs through to her roles with UK Black Pride, Birmingham Pride or Neurodiversity in Business, Char is a well-loved, well-respected leader within & champion for the LGBTQ+ community. So we’re excited to get to know more about her journey to the Char we know & love now.
This event also celebrates a whole year since ‘Pause. And Rewind…’ was launched! So whether you’re wanting to break out into the inclusion space, grab some insights & inspo or simply want to know more about one of your heroes too, you’re invited to listen in…

Neil Hudson-Basing is the producer & host of 'Pause. And Rewind..' He's super passionate about the power of storytelling & amplifying the voices of others. He launched the podcast to shine a spotlight on the stories of the inclusion heroes out there, to inspire inclusion in others as they go about their days, and - on a less altruistic level, so that he could have a good chat with people who inspire him!
Neil prides himself on being just that - himself. Energetic, friendly and down to earth with a warmth, confidence and authenticity that lets audiences know that they're in extremely capable, safe hands. He's not afraid to get uncomfortable in conversations & has developed a fresh, disruptive yet respectful style & approach to how experiences should be hosted & delivered.
