’Mandy Sweats: The Hole Truth’’
Prepare to go round the bend…
Mandy Sweats, the nightmare of a thousand faces, is a writer, performance artist and paper mâché demon from Brighton. Performing as a revolving cast of surreal characters (all created by the artist by hand) Mandy has taken their darkly absurd sketch-comedy across the country - from museums and theatres, to clubs and public toilets.
In their debut theatre show ‘Mandy Sweats: The Hole Truth’, Mandy finally exposes the monster behind it all…sort of. You find yourself in an abandoned hotel on the edge of a sinister, ruthless city, as a strange figure crawls up from the sewer to haunt the toilets and plugholes across town. The figure in question is Mandy – and trapped in their little hotel room, you have no choice but to watch them reenact the shocking, perverse, and bizarre things they have seen. Along the way, Mandy themselves begins to unravel, as the forces that drove them into the sewer suddenly become clear. Expect murderous babies, singing dogs, bloody crime scenes and one very erotic piece of steak.
A dark, surreal comedy sketch-show in the vein of David Firth and the League of Gentlemen, ‘Mandy Sweats: The Hole Truth’ merges horror, comedy, storytelling and monster drag to create an utterly unforgettable experience.
