We're always thrilled for December's Lady Olé with all the classic stuff. It's a chilled and fun date to engage with each other and cherish the warm vibe that makes us what we are. There will be silly jumpers, silly hats, turrón, and sweets galore. BUT there's a twist…we've swapped Mariah for Mónica.
LADY OLE presents CAMPANAS DEL AMOR. A Mónica Naranjo Xmas Tribute
As part of our Decade Of Love series of special events to celebrate our 10th year in the scene, Lady Olé is dedicating this Christmas party to Mónica Naranjo, the most iconic LGBTQ+ diva Spain has ever seen. Trained classically as an opera singer, her iconic voice has filled stadiums worldwide and sold over 10 million album copies. She is known for fusing operatic singing with pop, avant-garde rock, and dance music. Synonymous with drama, and with the LGBTQ+ community for her strong lyrics and her groundbreaking videos in the late 90s, she is the perfect fit for a Xmas party like no other.
Our in-house drag darling Lola McQueen is working hard to present you with two shows dedicated to Mónica. We know they will be incredible. In addition, all three Lady Olé resident DJs (Larga DJ, Jesus RedSoul, and Alejandro Asencio) will be playing the best in Latin, Spanish, and Euro pop, dance, kitsch, and camp hits from the last few decades and today, with a nod to Mónica's career.
