The Divine Fringe Presents…
Colin Waitt: Trés Gay Plays
Your second-grade teacher. On Grindr. Tonight.
IVF for your bestie.
A 99-year-old sugar daddy.
'Très Gay Plays" is a mashup of short plays that are fast, funny, and delightfully deranged. It's a night of chaotic queer joy held together by a subversive sense of heart. It's messy, absurd, joyful, delightful - everything you want to indulge in on a school night.
Playwright Colin Waitt and Director Jacob Wolstencroft reunite after previous collaborations at Theatre503 and the North American Creative Collective.
Colin’s anthology, "Let's Get Weird", debuted as the #1 New Release in Theatre on Amazon. He has been Longlisted for the Ilfeld Prize as well as Theatre 503's International Playwriting Award. He was also a Semifinalist for the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. Colin developed and produced the hit off-Broadway comedy "Puffs", which is one of the most licensed playscripts in the U.S. and is available to stream on Apple and Amazon. www.colinwaitt.com
Jacob recently directed the Canadian professional premiere of "Bright Star" (Mirvish/Garner Theatre Productions) in Toronto. A graduate from Rose Bruford College, he has created and directed the Shakespeare-meets-RuPaul solo-show "With Love, Juliet" (Wandsworth Fringe), the Queer celebratory-dance-film in bathroom mirrors across Canada "REFLECT IN" (Digital Calgary Fringe Festival), and a short film exploring addiction within Queer relationships: "Surprise". Additional credits include: "Dance Nation" (LAMDA; Choreographer), "Thought Monster" (The Hope Theatre; Director), and "The City and The Town" (UK Tour; Assistant Director). www.jacobwolstencroft.com
