About Author:
Zoe Adjonyoh has been cooking up consciousness since 2010. She is an author, entrepreneur and empowerment coach and has spent thirteen years in the hospitality industry focusing on food justice and female empowerment.
As the chef and founder of the West African food brand and cookbook Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen, Zoe pioneered West African cuisine globally. Through her activism with Black Book Global, she led the conversation on decolonising the food industry.
She has previously spoken at TedX and lectured at institutions including Harvard, the Culinary Institute of America, and The Omega Institute. She was formerly the Director of the Women’s Leadership programmes at the James Beard Foundation.
Fatima “Fatti” Tarkleman
Fatima “Fatti” Tarkleman is a proudly queer chef of mixed African-Asian heritage. They have special interests in sustainability, fermentation, inclusivity, and local produce. Never conforming to societal norms, Fatti's cross-cultural cooking reflects their diverse background and refusal to be confined to traditional labels. Their food represents the flavours of their heritage, their travels, and their London upbringing. As well as working as a private catering chef, Fatti is the founder of queer dating supper club Eat Cute, bringing queer singles and ENM folk together over food to find connection. Fatti’s food is frequently inspired by special people in their personal life, and the loving meals that have been shared with them as a form of care.
