Queers of Future Past: Creative non-fiction workshop with Christopher Lieberman
The queer present is the queer history of the future! Let's come together to document contemporary queer life for future generations.
In this workshop (led by award-winning writer Christopher Lieberman) participants will be guided through the fundamentals of creative non-fiction. We will then have a chance to write personal essays about an aspect of queer life in 2026 --- it could be a date you went on, a drag show, a protest, a dance class, etc etc. These essays will be compiled into a print zine for people to enjoy (hopefully) for years to come.
You don't need any prior writing experience, you don't need to plan what you're going to write, just show up (with a notebook or laptop)!
This is a not-for-profit venture, the zines will be given away to venues, collectives, and cabaret producers to sell for their own benefit, or to use as raffle prizes etc. Ticket sales from this workshop will go towards the print and distribution costs of the zine.
