The ongoing risks of Covid, fluctuating Government rules and temporary local area lockdowns make considering future face-to-face engagement really challenging. In some ways we are living through a time of greater anxiety and uncertainty for many people than full lockdown was. There are questions about safety, social distancing, and what future small group meetings will be legal. As we face several more months of fluctuating restrictions, how can LGBTI groups best support the wellbeing of their members and plan their activities?
This session will give you advice on how your support group can
- keep track of current Covid social distancing protocols and temporary local area lockdowns
- recognise the impact of social distancing and lockdown uncertainties on members and understand how these anxieties can manifest
- plan support for members through a mix of online methods and potentially some future face-to-face engagement over the next several months
- identify sources of further information and support for vulnerable members
This session will help you think about the best ways to support your members in innovative ways to cope with Covid uncertainties, while keeping track of and following Government social distancing rules.
You will need Zoom to take part. Please let us know if you need help in getting access to Zoom in advance of the meeting.
This training session is being run twice. You can choose between Monday 19th October (7pm-8:30pm) or Wednesday 21st October (7pm-8:30pm).
