Live dragalong! Little Shop of Horrors!
If there’s one thing 2021 needs it’s an omnisexual man-eating plant from outer space in a live drag extravaganza!
Fringe! and Crayola the Queen invite you to queer the cult classic musical Little Shop of Horrors (Frank Oz, 1986) in this one-off in-person paradise in Colours Hoxton. Starring Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Steve Martin and a giant avocado with teeth, Little Shop tells the gentle story of a two florist’s assistants who variously enable murder for a taste of fame and dream of escaping toxic masculinity to go and live “Somewhere That’s Green”. #Growth
Alongside our screening of the universe’s most bloodthirsty musical, live drag performances from some of London’s best artists Holestar, Beau Jangles and Miss Terri Boxx will re-cultivate the film as a thorn in the side of the cis-hetero-patriarchy. The ghost of the musical’s lyricist Howard Ashman will even appear live on stage, embodied by writer Adam Zmith, in an all-original queer introduction.
So “stop right where you are, don't you move a thing!” Grab a ticket for this queer monstrosity now!
