This social is open to all LGBTQIA+ who enjoy crafting in all its many forms!
We will welcome anyone who identifies under the broad queer and trans umbrellas and has an interest in all things craft, wether your dabbling for the first time or a big time crafter.
We’re so excited to host Queer Craft at Slipstitch - a queer owned business! We will have exclusive use of the workshop and the shop will be open if anyone needs any supplies! Thanks for welcoming us, Rosie!
We have reusable name and pronoun badges to help us skip introductions if we’re feeling a little nervous, and saves any pressure of having to remember the names of 10 new people!
So bring your portable projects – sewing, embroidery, handloom weaving, crochet, knitting, something you wanna mend, whatever is your current thing and we will see you soon!
(Snacks are highly encouraged)
Please note: the toilets are not wheelchair accessible and are down a steep spiral staircase. There is a step in the shop to the studio space.
The toilets at Queer Craft at Make Town are not wheelchair accessible, but there aren’t any steps to enter the craft shop or studio, but there is one small step down into the loo. https://make.town/product/queer-craft-monthly/
