FLOWERS

FLOWERS is a dance-focused queer club night, combining eclectic DJ sets, musical performances and visual art from aspiring performers and artists. The purpose of FLOWERS is to cultivate an inclusive, underground space where sonic boundaries are pushed and forms of individual and collective experimentation flourish. When the ‘party’ is conceived as a continuous process of creating and making - a becoming - rather than a finished product ready for commercial consumption, it is opened up to moments of spontaneity and infinite possibility. We are intentionally putting on an event that celebrates a plethora of different styles and sounds to act as an antidote to the monotony and purist nature of single-genre club nights. By building a supportive platform for DJs and artists in our community to express their talents, we hope that others in turn feel emboldened to share their creative visions too.
winn (@charlie_winn)South East London-based DJ winn fuses deconstructed club, ethereal pop edits, sensual R&B and gritty UK bass culture to cultivate an ever-shifting collage of feeling and sound. Their sets evoke a sense of nostalgia for noughties aesthetics whilst also keeping one ear on future soundz.Mixed Feelings (@mixedfeelies)Mixed Feelings are Edinburgh based duo, Maisie and Esmé, who have been spinning tunes on Edinburgh’s community radio station EHFM for the last year. They play an eclectic mix, placing club ready tracks next to strange sonic waves of every genre.SØREN (@supersupersoren)Hailing from South West London, Søren is the ultimate Fulham Girl. A non binary pop star bringing you the throwback sounds of the early 2000’s, Søren is kicking and screaming in their Worlds End Westwood.3 Witches (@rseeham; @kaiisha.kukendra; @oscar.gannon)The Three (3)Witches, also known as the Weird Sisters or Wayward Sisters, are experienced DJs (c. 2022) in London's occult scene. The witches will eventually lead club-night Flowers to its nightcore demise, and they hold a striking resemblance to Seeham, Kaiisha, and Oscar. Their origin lies in the accidental inhalation of amyl nitrites from a bubbling cauldron. Expect everything from witch-house to hexcore.
