Formidable Alter Ego’s return with an apocalyptic disco themed cabaret! If this seems familiar? well that’s because this is the show that was unfortunately had to be postponed earlier this year, hence, POST-apocalyptic disco cabaret! I’m way too proud of that joke, anyways, ahem, featuring dystopian fashion! fabulous lipsyncs! majestic morbid things! culminating with a dance to the death between our glamorously feral performers as they fight for the title of king or queen (or thing) of the apocalypse!
Come and join the chaos and cheer on your fav fighting drag artists like it’s a zombie apocalypse with no coffee!
Will contain: unrealistic gore (limb props, skeletons, fake blood) references to death, and end of the world.
The specifics:
We will open doors from 7pm with show starting roughly around 7:30pm, with a runtime of roughly around two and a half hours including a 15min break.
The show is the old art community building, English Bridge Studios, a beautiful venue but please be aware that there may be uneven flooring due to it's age.
If you are walking you can find the venue across the English Bridge heading away from town. Opposite the college and before the overhead bridge turn right into the large open gateway. Then come in through the teal door.
There is limited parking on site or alternatively there is parking across the road at Abbey Foregate car park. If you do use the onsite parking, they simply ask for a small donation of £2-£3 to help towards the buildings upkeep costs.
There is an accessible entrance round the back of the building, if you need to use this entrance let us know in advance so we can open the door for you, alternatively you can knock on the backdoor or ring the doorbell at the front for attention. Please note that restroom facilities are located on the first floor, accessible only via stairs. Currently, there is no elevator or lift available. We acknowledge this limitation and are actively seeking solutions to improve accessibility to these facilities.
There will be drinks such as juice, tea and coffee available on the night free of charge. We encourage people to check our merch table as sales from there helps us run these shows :)
