Join Communal Clay CIC at SET Ceramics studio for a free hand-building workshop on Friday 7 August, where you'll craft your own ceramic 'face plate'!
We'll be running 3 one-hour workshops on the day, between 11am and 2pm, with 10 spaces available per session.
Communal Clay facilitators will guide you through the process of making and decorating your own ceramic face plate using hand-building techniques and coloured slips. Once completed, your piece will be dried, glazed, and fired at the SET Ceramics studio, ready to collect a few weeks later.
This workshop is completely free to attend thanks to generous funding from Eastern City BID.

About Communal Clay CIC:
Communal Clay CIC is a ‘not-for-profit’ project which offers low cost and free workshops to the local community. Any profits made are used to fund future workshops and to pay collaborators fairly.
Their aim is making clay and sculpture more inclusive and accessible to everyone. Choosing clay as although ceramics can be seen as an inaccessible and an expensive material, clay itself is widely accessible, and exists underneath our every step.
